BAHAY NA BATO - (Stone house)

Bahay na Bato (Stone House) located at Nalvo North Beach - Bacnotan, Luna, La Union

Another Tourist attraction in La Union is the "Bahay na Bato" (Stone house) located at Nalvo North Beach - Bacnotan, Luna, La Union. Locals told us that there is unending supply of stones on their shore, stones are smooth and they are safe to step and walk on it even without shoes/slippers. These stones also become source of livelihood for locals.

OUR ITINERARY

From Sn.Fernando City Proper, we rode a jeepney going to Luna. Netizens would immediately ask you if you're going to Bahay na Bato and I assure you, there will be no fuss going there. The driver drop us off exactly at the main rode of Bacnotan-Luna and this is how it looks like ....

from here, we just walked for about 5 mins.going to the Entrance of Bahay na Bato.

For just Php20.00 entrance fee you can see a lot of artistic stone carvings in and outside of the house, parental guidance is also needed for children because some figures are made for adults only lol. They also have dining area (Tables and chairs are made of Drift wood) there are also antiques and available souvenir items inside.

FEW REMINDERS:
- Swimming/bathing in the Sea is not allowed.
- Make sure to leave Bahay na Bato before sunset.
 (unless you have your own vehicle for transportation. Jeepney's are not 24 hours available).
- and most importantly : TAKE ONLY MEMORIES, LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS.


HOW TO GET HERE?

FOR D.I.Y.
START POINT : Sn.Fernando, City Town Proper of La Union
+ From Sn.Fernando City Town Proper of La Union, ride a jeepney going to Luna :
   - Php 40.00/person/one way. (Travel time would take 2 hours)
   - ask the driver to drop you off exactly at the main road going to Bahay na Bato.
+ From there, just walk for about 5 to 10 mins.to reach the Main Entrance of Bahay na Bato.
